What catering for 5,000 guests actually takes.
Our largest event is TAHDCO’s at Chennai Trade Centre: a government event with a multi-cuisine menu for 5,000+ guests, which we catered in 2024 and again in 2025. We are an approved caterer at the venue. The TN-BEAT Expo, with 2,500+ guests over two days, and CII’s 2024 event for 500+ delegates belong to the same record, alongside the delegate catering we run for industry bodies and corporate summits across the city.
Events at this scale are won or lost on timing, not on the menu. We plan from your programme: when each session ends, how many guests break at once and where they will queue. The number of counters and service points is sized to that, so a full hall can eat within the break instead of spilling into the next session.
Multi-day expos are planned one day at a time, because footfall on the first morning is rarely footfall on the last afternoon. Exhibitor meals, visitor food stalls and VIP hospitality each run on their own plan, all under the same planner.
Large events rarely happen in one room. When a conference spreads across several halls, each hall gets its own service points on one shared plan, so no room is left waiting while another is served. Speakers and VIPs get a separate, discreet service alongside the delegate catering, run by the same planner so it never pulls attention away from the main event.
Everything is cooked in our own central kitchen in Chennai and finished on site where the menu calls for it, at live counters and chef stations. For visitor stalls we can bring our own brands, such as Idly Podi and Mansukh Swaad Watika, staffed and stocked by our own team, alongside the multi-cuisine counters the organiser has asked for.
